Learned the hard way / by Modern Adversary

If you lead a team, you must have situational awareness, and be calm under fire.

  • Situational awareness: don’t loose it, detach! Don’t get too involved in the ultra details, that’s what your team is for.

  • Calm under fire: recognize you are a leader. You must remain calm. Be self aware, lay down triggers for things that might get you frustrated, recognize them, and take a step back. Remain detached.

For these things to be effective, you have to train yourself and your men, stress test and push this to the breaking point.
